with a huge parking area and broad, sweeping decks that
overlook the fabulous views
and take in the grandeur that is the Smokies.
Just two steps is all it takes to make it to the main floor
and deck level of Lucky Bear. Our guests truly appreciate
this ease of access versus the many steps to reach the
typical mountain cabin.
A wrought iron patio table and chairs are the first you will
see on the great expanse of
porch. Then comes a love seat and deck swing with an
upholstered back, a truly comfortable way to relax while
looking over some of the most beautiful countryside in the
world. At Lucky Bear, you are on the foothills of the Smokies,
looking out over the
rolling hills of the Tennessee Valley, known for its
fantastic natural beauty and scenery.
There’s lots more wrought iron deck furniture and a patio
table farther down the huge deck, as well as the large hot
tub, built right into the deck. The hot tub level is placed
down at the floor of the deck, and so makes for a safer hot
tub to enter and exit, as well
as just plain easier for most folks.
Inside Lucky Bear, our guests are first greeted by a rustic,
fully featured kitchen with microwave, toaster, coffee
maker, and dishwasher. The dining table, a light country
themed ensemble for 6, is placed conveniently close to the
kitchen are for the greatest
ease in serving guests.
The living area features two overstuffed leather sofas, a
stone fireplace with wood stove, 27 inch T V / DVD , and a
wealth of country lodge décor, as well as the authentic log
siding interior found throughout Lucky Bear.
On this main level, there are also two queen log styled
bedrooms, sharing a bath. Since both are on the main floor,
they provide total ease of access for those who prefer not
to climb the stairs.
Upstairs, there is also a log queen bedroom, and a smaller,
“bonus room” with a queen
bed as well. These two bedrooms share a bath, and both have
easy access to the main level and the upstairs billiards
room.
The upstairs billiards room has its own 27 inch TV / DVD,
and half a dozen pub tables
for those watching the action in between turns at the table.
Whether its taking it easy on the deck, playing a game of
billiards, watching a movie from the comfortable sofas in
the living room, to splashing in the hot tub, Lucky Bear
makes for a fabulous and very private retreat just fifteen
minutes from all the action in
Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
